Rented a house on Feb 15, 2008 from an owner via a property mgtmt group. Then on March 22, recieved a letter from another realtor that says the house is in pre foreclosure and they are going to do a short sale. Do I have any rights what so ever? The original property mgtmnt had no idea that is was in foreclosure.

We had it fixed by a neighbor who’s a roofer, and submiited the receipt of work that was done to the realtor. Now a year after the sale, they contacted their lawyer with threats to sue us for $6000 because they are not happy with the work done. We had did what was asked us, hired a competent roofer and and had no idea they weren’t happy. Are we still liable?
They forwarded us a long list of repairs, way beyond anything presented to us before the sale of the house. We can’t afford to hire a lawyer, let alone pay $6000. Thank you so much for your help.
